Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty can reform the shape of your abdomen by removing the excess skin and fat and by tightening your loose abdominal muscles.

Abdominoplasty is perfect for those cases where shaping the abdomen cannot be done only by exercise or weight loss or in cases where the skin of the area has been badly affected by pregnancy.

A mini abdominoplasty can treat a moderate bulging of the central abdomen through a shorter skin incision just above the pubic area without the need to move the umbilicus. The remaining scar looks like a C-section incision.

The final result of an abdominoplasty can be perfected by using the technique of liposuction in areas of the body where we avoid using skin incisions such as the flanks.

  • The procedure is done under general anesthesia and an overnight stay might be needed. The use of a light compression belt is recommended after the surgery to help reduce swelling and other possible complications.

  • Recovery depends on the extend of the procedure. Return to everyday activities starts gradually from the 1st post-op day and within 1-2 weeks more energetic activities can be commenced.

  • Results can be long-term although changes in body weight and/or pregnancy can alter your appearance.

Brachioplasty

Brachioplasty or arm lift, tightens the loose skin and removes the excess fat in the upper arms.

Brachioplasty is indicated in cases where exercise and diet cannot deal with excess fat and loose skin in the upper arms especially when massive weight loss is the reason for this.

The skin incisions run along the inner arm and end up hidden inside the axilla. Liposuction can help maximize the results and in selected cases it can be sufficient only by itself.

  • Brachioplasty is done under general anesthesia and an overnight stay might be necessary especially when combined with other procedures.

  • Return to everyday activities can start gradually from the 1st post-op day and be completed within 1-2 weeks. The use of pressure garments is recommended after your surgery to help minimize fluid retention and accelerate recovery.

  • Results can be long-term although changes in body weight and/or pregnancy can alter your appearance.
